<span class="remove_this_tag">We are expanding Zach Borden's work on the circulation model onto the case of hydraulic bores propagating into shear</span>

<span class="remove_this_tag">Analytic work started in September 2013; rough computational simulations began December of the same year. Work will continue until at least 2017</span>

==Models in use==
<span class="remove_this_tag">We will use Zach Borden and Eckart Meiburg's circulation model which utilizes the vorticity equation to remove energy assumptions in certain flow cases. The simulations that we are running are in-house codes.</span>

==Results==
<span class="remove_this_tag">The circulation model is successful in predicting the bore velocity. However, the bore tends to develop in an interesting manner that we are planning on investigating in future research
