Position Title: M.S. Student/s & Research Assistant in the Department of Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering, National Taiwan University

Location: National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan Starting Date: August 2023 (Fall 2023)/January 2024 (Spring 2024) Duration: 2 years (can be extended up to 4 years if funding is available)

My lab (River and Catchment Modeling Lab) recruits highly motivated graduate students and full-time research assistants to develop/improve/apply numerical river/catchment models here in Taiwan.

Job Description:
The selected candidates will be responsible for, but not limited to, developing and implementing large-scale river network numerical models. The selected candidates will be required to be familiar with basic programming skills (e.g., python or C++) and numerical analysis skills.

Our laboratory also incorporates commercial models (such as SWAT, SWMM, CE-QUAL-W2) to simulate and forecast the effects of human activities on the basin environment. We firmly believe that our work here can have a positive impact on the environment and society as a whole, and we sincerely hope that you will consider joining us in this endeavor.

Funding:
The selected candidate will receive a stipend, tuition waiver, travel allowance for attending conferences, and access to professional development activities.
