The School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment (https://www.monash.edu/science/schools/earth-atmosphere-environment) at Monash University (https://www.monash.edu/) in Melbourne Australia, is seeking two forward thinking, dynamic, and innovative academics to take on the roles of Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) in the area of Physical Geography. The field of Physical Geography represents a key research theme within the School, and there will be excellent scope for collaborations and building a world-class research program. Senior Lecturer is broadly comparable to Associate Professor in the US system and both of these positions are continuing (tenured).


The successful appointees will be expected to make significant contributions to the research and teaching program of the School of Earth Atmosphere and Environment, building on and extending our existing strengths in Climate Research, Coastal Science, Cryospheric Science, Environmental Geochemistry, GIS and Remote Sensing, Hydrogeology, and Soil Science.


We are particularly lacking expertise in Earth Surface Processes, Geomorphology and Earth Observation, and applications from scientists in these fields are most welcome!
