The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences and the Department of Environmental Studies at Washington University in St. Louis invite applications for a jointly appointed, open rank position in Geospatial Earth Science. This position is part of a cluster hire of 14 faculty across WashU's School of Arts and Sciences in the area of digital transformation.


The candidate is expected to conduct research that applies Earth system data to address problems important to society, including but not limited to those relating to climate, agriculture, water, energy, and public health. The ideal candidate will explore complex Earth systems using numerical, statistical, and computational approaches that integrate environmental datasets across spatial and temporal scales.
