Describe input parameters depending on configuration, the model can be run with Air temperature and Precipitation only. In the most complex configuration, the model will also need vapor pressure, solar radiation, wind, daily minimum and maximum temperature. Built-in functions allow trading input variables (e.g. use cloud cover instead of solar radiation).
Input format Binary
Other input format RGIS - .gdbc
Describe output parameters The WBMplus model can output any variables used for the water balance and transport calculations. WBMsed unique output are: sediment-flux, over-bank water discharge, and all the BQART parameters.
Output format Binary
Other output format RGIS - .gdbc and conversion to NetCDF

Describe processes represented by the model see: Sagy Cohen, Albert J. Kettner, James P.M. Syvitski, Balazs M. Fekete, WBMsed, a distributed global-scale riverine sediment flux model: Model description and validation, Computers and Geosciences, ISSN 0098-3004, 10.1016/j.cageo.2011.08.011.
Describe key physical parameters and equations [[Describe key physical parameters::The BQART equation:

Qs=ϖBQ¯0.31A0.5RT for T⩾2∘C Qs=2ϖBQ¯0.31A0.5R for T<2∘C

Qs - aver. sediment flux (kg/s) ϖ - coefficient of proportionality (kg s−1 km−2 °C−1) (=0.02) B - =L(1−Te) Eh, Te is the trapping efficiency of a reservoir or lake, L is lithology and Eh is human erosivity factor. Q - avr. water discharge (m3/s) - [calculated by a WBMplus module] A - basin area (km) R - max. relief (km) T - avr. temperature]]

Describe length scale and resolution constraints Available datasets are for global and continental domains. Realistic high-res simulations for global scale is 6 arc-min and for continental 3 arc-min. Higher resolution datasets are available for both (e.g. 15 arc-sec for Europe).
Describe time scale and resolution constraints It simulate at daily time-steps. Maximum available datasets time-span is between 1901-present.
Describe any numerical limitations and issues

Upload calibration data sets if available:
Describe available test data sets Extensive input dataset is available on the CSDMS HPCC (beach) at '/scratch/ccny/RGISarchive' and '/scratch/saco2635/RGISarchiveCSDMS'.
Upload test data sets if available:
