Ph.D. positions in global carbon cycling and enhanced rock weathering – Texas A&M University

The CArbon Cycle and Earth Environment (CACEE) Lab (https://www.caceelab.space/) at the Department of Oceanography, Texas A&M University (https://ocean.tamu.edu/) is seeking Ph.D. applicants interested in tracking enhanced rock weathering and carbon cycling by integrating numerical modeling and data science. The graduate student will be fully funded and would have access to computing facilities at TAMU. The expected starting date is Fall 2023.


Required/preferred qualifications:

  • B.S. in geochemistry/hydrology/hydrogeology or relevant fields; M.S. degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge about low-temperature geochemistry and earth surface processes.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Programming skills in R or Python are preferred.
