Job Description:

The candidate will be a researcher that will be part of multi-disciplinary research team assessing land impacts from energy development, among other things. Candidate needs background in areas of water/energy/land nexus, GIS, hydrology, soil science, and remote sensing


Job Details: General Notes This position is located at the J.J. Pickle Research Campus in North Austin. Responsibilities Conduct research in and use of data manipulation tools, GIS, remote sensing, image analysis, statistical tools, management of large datasets, and the use of these tools using multiple programming platforms. Assist research team(s) in related engineering and hydrologic analyses. Conduct field work, including installation/maintenance of monitoring stations, soil sampling, or other research projects with field elements. Present research results in verbal and poster formats at local and national meetings.

Provide service to professional societies, the Bureau of Economic Geology and the Jackson School of Geosciences. Serve on committees as needed.
