|JOB bodytext=The School of Environmental Science at Simon Fraser University seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position in Environmental Data Analysis at the assistant professor rank. We seek a scholar with a quantitative background in Applied Environmental Statistics, with preference for interests in quantitative aspects of Marine Science and Restoration Ecology.  Candidates using computational and statistical tools to help study and manage anthropogenic stresses on marine and biological systems are preferred.  As part of their teaching requirements, this individual will teach a lower division course on quantitative skills (statistics, coding, numerical modeling) for Environmental Scientists along with an upper division/graduate level course in Environmental Data Analysis. In addition, all SES faculty are expected to be able to teach core courses for our undergraduate major when needed. The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in environmental science, statistical ecology, applied statistics, or a closely related field, by the employment start date. Anticipated start date is September 2023.&lt;br /&gt;

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and graduate supervision.  Excellence in research can be demonstrated through publications in top venues as well as demonstration of broader impact of research outcomes as shown through, for example, research citations, research awards, and successful development of a funded research program. Excellence in teaching can be demonstrated through successful teaching experiences with quantitative courses, demonstrated commitment to teaching, and the creation of inclusive classrooms.  Excellence in graduate supervision can be demonstrated through an existing track record of successful graduate student mentorship, other mentorship activities, and demonstration of supervisory potential.&lt;br /&gt;

|JOB bodytext=The School of Environmental Sciences, Simon Fraser University seeks applications for two-year Limited-Term faculty position in Applied Watershed Science.  The appointment will commence August 1, 2019.  &lt;br /&gt;

The successful candidate will be ideally a physical scientist interested in the practice of watershed restoration, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with restoration ecologists and practitioners. We seek highly motivated individuals in a broad range of fields related to performance and assessment of restoration, watershed management and restoration science. The successful candidate should have demonstrated research ability and potential for teaching excellence, ideally at both graduate and undergraduate levels.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This position will play a key role in supporting the Master of Science in Ecological Restoration (MER) program. The individual will be responsible for the teaching of at least two graduate courses, core to the MER program and supervision of MER Applied Research Projects. The individual will be expected to have an understanding of scientific method and an enthusiastic approach to supporting graduate student development and guiding critical insights into the process of scientific research and practice in ecological restoration.&lt;br /&gt;

The successful applicant will contribute to a diverse research and teaching community at SFU, joining a group of physical and biological scientists, spread across Biological Sciences, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, Geography, and Resource and Environmental Management.&lt;br /&gt;

The School of Environmental Sciences at Simon Fraser University, in Burnaby, British Columbia, invites applications for a faculty position in watershed sciences. The appointment will likely be at the Associate Professor level, but exceptional candidates at the Assistant Professor level will be considered.&lt;br /&gt;

The ideal candidate is a physical scientist interested in watershed-scale research questions, with an ability and interest in working collaboratively with other water scientists, such as those interested in biology and ecology. We welcome applications from highly motivated individuals in a broad range of fields related to physical watershed processes. Potential topics of study could include ecohydrology, ecogeomorphology, watershed-scale geomorphology, watershed management, and restoration science. The successful applicant will contribute to a diverse research and teaching community at SFU, joining a group of physical and biological water scientists, spread across Biological Sciences, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, Geography, and Resource and Environmental Management.  &lt;br /&gt;
