How to link

There are 2 main links in the CSDMS Wiki:

  • Internal links
  • External links

Internal links will redirect users to another CSDMS Wiki page while external links will guide an user to another website, that's outside the CSDMS Wiki. There are many ways to create a link (See table below).
The easiest way to add an internal link, enclose the name of the page you want to link to in double square brackets. External links can be added by enclosing the name of the page you want to link to in single square brackets. Make sure to include the complete URL (http://....) for external links.
When you save the page, you'll see the new link pointing to your page. If the page exists already, it is displayed in blue, empty pages are displayed in red. The first letter of the target page is automatically capitalized and spaces are represented as underscores (typing an underscore in the link will have a similar effect as typing a space, but is not recommended, since the underscore will also be shown in the text).
